My Why
Hi! My name is Nicole and I am the mind behind Fiore Marketing & Brand Management!
As my first post, I wanted to introduce myself and provide a little background as to why I decided to start my own business.
It was a scary decision but a decision that was loooooong overdue.
Ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to own a business. I had so many ideas as to what I wanted to open from a Bed and Breakfast (thanks, Gilmore Girls) to creating my own fashion line. I ended up going to college for Fashion Marketing and after graduation, I went on to working in New York City for some big name companies but always for contract positions. I needed stability so I heard my high school sewing teacher retired and I said “I want that job!”
While teaching has been very rewarding, it is not what I am passionate about. It was not what I have always dreamed about so in the back of my head, I constantly thought about what I want for the long term.
But how do I know what I am passionate about?
I never stopped dreaming of owning my very own company. I never stopped trying to start something up but without full time dedication to my craft, it never really grew into the company I needed it to in order to pursue it full time. So I prioritized freelancing a lot more until I convinced my husband, I can do this.
And here we are today.
I am crazy passionate about helping small businesses. I truly believe they are a huge part of America’s economy. To build something from the ground up is a huge task to take on but also a wildly rewarding career.
That is why I want to help these small businesses as best I can from personally creating content to just simply teaching the basics to give you the tools to make your business successful. I realized I love so many different industries and businesses but at my core, I enjoy the fight to get the customer and developing a brand story to create lifelong customers. That is how I ended up here, with my own marketing and branding company.
While you move forward developing your company, here are some things to help you understand your why:
Why does this matter to you?
Why this specific business?
What excited you about it?
What is your why?
