Tips for going live on social media
Stay Positive. As a teacher during the pandemic and having to switch to teaching through a screen, I am used to no one answering me when I ask questions. I pretty much have a full conversation with myself but the most important thing I learned is that if you stay confident and show passion about your topic, people will engage and join in later on down the road.
Have a Plan. Make sure that you have a clear idea of all the points you want to talk about so that you do not find yourself rambling. Break it up in a similar fashion to writing an essay: thesis, supporting content, conclusion.
Engage. Ask questions throughout to get people to interact with your live video. The more interaction, the more likely it will show up on someone else’s feed and it keeps the viewer interested in the content.
