Types of Content to Make for IGTV and Live
As I have said before, the Instagram algorithm loves when you use all of the features the app has to offer.
I find that the most underutilized features are IGTV and Live. Why? Probably because it requires the most pressure to get it all right in one take.
I go Live on Instagram every Tuesday at 3PM and I am STILL NOT OKAY WITH IT. I hate it. I get nervous and the entire time I am talking I’m thinking “wow this sucks” but when I rewatch the Live I always think it actually wasn’t that bad. It also gives me a great opportunity to talk to my followers and answer questions they have specific to their business.
It will not be perfect the first time around (or second or third) but just try, put it out there, and you never know, people might really love the content.
You will not ruin your entire brand image by trying an Instagram Live once, I promise.

If you are a makeup artist, show a tutorial for a five minute face for food shopping
If you are a real estate agent, you can create a series to show new home buyers what to look for
I know, it’s still an uncomfortable thought but I promise, it is never as bad as it seems. Stop second guessing yourself and get out there and show them what you’ve got!
