5 Apps I Use Daily
I always tell clients, “be consistent in posting” and I always practice what I preach. I post to Instagram daily, Facebook about five times a week, LinkedIn 2-3 times a week, and Pinterest about once a week.
Here are the five apps that help me show up and maintain my social presence.
Lightroom
I love Adobe Lightroom for so many reasons. The main reason is that you can save your editing preferences so that I can easily match the style to each picture, giving my feed a more cohesive feel. It is also a great alternative to photoshop to be able to edit out unwanted elements (i.e. people in the background).
It is super user friendly and free to download in the App Store.
Later
My go-to scheduling app. I tried a few websites’ free trials and Later was it for me. The interface is easy to use and I can see my posts planned out in a calendar. There is a free version and a paid version. I use the paid version so that it automatically posts for me with my first comment already auto populated.
The free version still has a lot to offer and will send you a notification to remind you to post. Remember, if you are using a website to automatically post for you, be sure to still check on your post to see what the topic of discussion is on your feed. You want to remain present with your community on social media.
Canva
I have spoken about Canva before and even have a whole tutorial for you to follow to get started. Canva has a lot to offer and will save you time when you are creating graphics and supporting materials. There are templates for all types of social posts: stories, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest. There are also templates for brochures, logo creating, posters, and so on.
There are free and paid features but the free features and graphics can get you very far. A very user friendly site that will save you a lot of time.
Photoroom
Photoroom is great for simple pictures. It allows you to remove the background so if you have a product but want a plain white background, this is the app for you. There are also fun editing tools that can really make your pictures pop.
Threads
Threads is a great app to create captions for your videos. Film yourself in the app and it will generate captions and post to Instagram for you. The design is really clean and makes the videos look very professional. I love using this app.
I believe in working smarter, not harder, so the help from these apps really saves me time while keeping me organized.
