6 Tips for Marketing the Holidays

I know, I know, it’s not even Halloween!

I hate rushing the holidays but in the world of product based businesses, you are generally at least three months ahead so I am here to give my tips for marketing during the holidays to stand out and increase those sales.

6 tips for marketing your product during the holidays

  1. Create shoppable Instagram posts

Using the shopping feature for product based businesses will help make it easier for your followers to shop your products directly from the post. Instagram has made it increasingly easier to allow followers to shop through the app.

  2. Leverage limited time only sales

Creating a sense of urgency for time sensitive sales will make followers jump quickly at the sight of a sale. Avoid having a month long sale in the efforts to bring in new sales. Run free shipping one weekend, and a %off the following weekend. Constantly change it up!

  3. Collaborate with other shops for cross-advertising

Whether it is a collaborative giveaway or just unapologetically cross advertising, networking and helping others grow along with you is a great foundation for a business and helps expand your community.

  4. Develop shopping guides in posts

You can create these guides in the “Guides” section of Instagram or simply create a guide within your post! Share your “top gifts under $30” or something similar that applies to your products.

  5. Let your community help build your reputation

Having user generated content on your feed or story can help grab the attention of new followers who are still on the fence. Share as much content from your followers and encourage them to tag you on social media.

  6. Reward followers with a contest or giveaway

‘Tis the season of giving and what more perfect way to reward your loyal followers than with a giveaway?! Do it solo or collaborate with a fellow creator! Either way your followers appreciate the thought that you want to give them a holiday gift.

It is never too early to start planning for the holidays since it is generally the busier time of year for most businesses. Best of luck!
