Organic vs Paid Posts
So, do you grow your social following organically or pay for sponsored posts? Over the years, I have been a huge advocate for organic marketing and I will always believe in organic marketing. However, Facebook and Instagram are making it very difficult for small businesses to get seen on the platform.
So let’s compare the two and see what our options are..
Organic Posts
I personally practice organic growth and teach that to my clients. I can go on and on about organic marketing because to me, it is the most authentic. I didn’t get into marketing to become a sales person and create 5 tiered sales funnels. I came into marketing to make connections between consumers and brands.
Organic marketing allows you to make more meaningful connections with people and potential customers. This strategy needs a bit more nurturing and a little patients but it can pay off. This involves more networking and support on your end but will yield a more loyal follower with higher engagement.
Paid Posts
Unfortunately, paid posts are getting seen more than organic posts. Have you ever looked at your profile feed? Did you ever notice that they put ads on your profiles now? Without compensating you. Even scrolling through your feed or your stories. Ads pop up everywhere. Ads put your content in front of people but how can that quick 3 second glance translate into a follower, a like, or even a sale?
While Instagram and Facebook are pushing paid posts, they aren’t creating the emotional connection that you need to bring in a customer. I will always stand by organic marketing and work for my followers and engagement. I also branch out on to other platforms that don’t favor paid posts such as Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
