Q: Are Websites & Blogs Relevant for Sales?

Short answer: Websites, ALWAYS. Blogs, sometimes.

Businesses need websites.

I see a lot of businesses try to sell directly through Instagram and Facebook and I am not going to sugarcoat this: it looks sketchy.

You may be a very honest person just trying to bypass fees associated with having a website and I get that but I can guarantee you are missing out on a large percentage of sales.

There are a lot of great website options with low costs, I use Squarespace.

Then there are instances where you are a local shop, such as coffee or bakery, and you only sell out a physical store, so why would you want a website? To add credibility.

People want to have an experience when they go to your shop and giving them a peak into that experience through your website will make people want to be there.

Blogs are optional.

Not every business will benefit from a blog but maintaining a blog will help customers like, know, and trust you.

By writing about topics in your area of expertise, people can see that you are knowledgable. They will also get to know more of your personality through your writing and this will all lead for them to trust you.

The goal through all of your branding and marketing efforts is to gain sales and it will take time finding what works for your business.
